🏁 Red Archer Opens 2026 Account with Strong Bahrain Result
Round 3 - Bahrain – 2026 Superleague Season - 09 April 2026
After a challenging start to the 2026 season, Red Archer has finally opened its points tally with a strong and encouraging performance at the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The opening rounds in Melbourne and Suzuka proved difficult for the team, with both races yielding no points despite solid efforts behind the scenes. However, the trip to Sakhir marked a turning point — particularly for Geoffrey Fournier, who delivered a composed and intelligent weekend to put Red Archer on the board.
🚀 Breakthrough Performance in Sakhir
Running a new engine package, Geoffrey approached the Bahrain weekend with a different mindset, opting for an alternative car setup that allowed him to push closer to the limits with greater confidence.
The result was immediate.
A superb qualifying lap secured P5 on the grid, placing him right in the mix with the front-running pack. From there, Geoffrey executed a smart and controlled race, focusing on consistency and tire management while making full use of the car’s grip advantage.
Staying within the leading group throughout the race, he brought the car home in P7, scoring the first points of the season for both himself and Red Archer — a result that reflects the progress made in recent weeks.
🔧 Building Momentum
While Geoffrey celebrated a breakthrough result, Danny van der Niet continues to work hard on unlocking performance. The Dutch driver has faced a more difficult start to the season, still searching for the right balance and feeling with the car.
Despite missing out on points so far, Danny remains confident. With ongoing work alongside the team and continued adaptation to the package, he believes it’s only a matter of time before results begin to follow.
🔜 Eyes on Jeddah
With points finally on the board and clear signs of improvement, Red Archer heads to the next round in Jeddah with renewed confidence. The progress shown in Bahrain offers a solid foundation — and the team will be aiming to build on that momentum as the season begins to take shape.
